I recently had a chance to purchase an up-and-running calcium reactor, which my tank is currently not in need of. I have it still running, minus the CO2 injection, so the media stays ok.
What is the best way to shut down a reactor, and still be able to save the media? Or should I just leave it running as it is now?
TIA

Just shut it off and give the media a rinse in RODI or fresh mixed and let it dry out in the reactor or bucket.
