I was wondering if there is a benefit to going with a larger calcium reactor.
I'm going to be running a 200+ SPS tank and wondering if going to a larger sized calcium reactor has any additional benefits besides filling it up less per year.
Looking at Geo 618 (holds 12 pounds of media) which is the recommended one for my size tank but then upgrading to the larger size which would be 16 to 24 pounds of media

The Geo 6118 is perfect size. Use the same size on my 255 mixed reef

Do yall use a Apex ph probe on yalls cal reactor?
Just wondering since mine is always .2 low. I test it in 7 solution snd it shows 6.8 or 6.7.

Would yall do a geo 612 on a 150 gallon. Buddy says 618 only but it says 612 will work up to 200 gallon

Moar bigger = Moar better... Get the largest reactor that is reasonable for you.

So the 612 dual chamber. Would be good. I have ph of 8.2 at peak snd 8 at the low. I am just reading in a different forum about chambers.

Just curious, why is bigger better? To me, it seems the affluent would be the same concentration at a given ph, assuming same, for both a smaller and larger reactor? And if the dosing pump is running at the same speed, wouldn’t size of that chamber be irrelevant?
