Calcium Reactor suggestion

How to set up a reactor, there are a few ways. BRS page (I just read gives the basics).

There are a few ways to modify their "best way." I use a Kamoer parastaltic feed pump to control water exchange through the reactor. I can speed or slow the Kamoer pump to increase or decrease cal/alk delivery to my tank.

I only measure Alk regularly and use that as my steady target. Calcium generally follows alk additions, but I test that also and may add Calcium if needed, but generally that isn't an issue. Same with Mg, and I do use an Mg media inside the reactor with calcium media also.

Thanks guys just ordered a Geo 818 and a secondary chamber. Shopping for a peristaltic pump now. Will use co2 system and Ph control that I already have
How do you like the 818 setup? What ph are you running in your reactor and mow my ml/min with your pump? I’m lookin at this same setup for my 600 gallon so thought I’d ask a few questions.

The reactor is great I do have a second chamber not sure if it help with Ph. I running 6.5 Ph in my reactor so anything above the Co2 will turn on. The Kramer pump I have it running 129ml so the output is at a stream

Thank you. What media are you using. At 129 ml/min, you must have a pretty high demand.

I have had three reactors, fussed with peristaltic pumps, pH probes, etc... etc...

I converted to a saturation type reactor.

Deltec CRTT. Love it. Much less trouble with reactor failures, has an alarm to let me know when it is not working. Super easy to fine tune the delivery of ALK to the system.
