So, I picked up a CaRx for my 250. I set it up for 6.7ph and set the drip to about 30 a min. That all being said, it’s on a Reefkeeper. Yet twice I have walked out to see it still putting bubbles into the reactor while the solenoid is off. Checked a little bit ago and the reactor was at 6.3 with bubbles still going in.

Now, the solenoid seems to be working however it seems there is still gas behind the adjustment knob and in the lines. If I turn up the output of the reactor all the bubbles are allowed to escape and the bubbles stop.

I was told to adjust the bubbles on the CO2 side to keep it from failing and dropping the PH in the reactor too low if something happens but it’s looking to me like I should have this adjustment knob open all the way and just let the CO2 go in when it’s needed without the restriction.

I am new to this but it’s just not seeming to work correctly if I try and throttle the bubbles with the adjustment knob using a controller.

Ideas?

You did it fine. Especially if you are testing and your ca reacor isn’t crazy oversized. It shouldn’t clog as easily as he said. You might just need a better regulator.

Yeah. This is an old Milwaukee and I am not so sure it’s doing exactly what it should but it’s what I have at the moment. I will look into another soon.
