I think I want to give up the 2 part dosers and try out the CA reactor. Now my question for you guys already using the Ca reactors is this how do you keep your Alk in check ? with 2 part dosers you just dose alk using the 2 part mix and a brs type doser which drips it in the tank via controller . Now with the Ca reactor it uses the media to create the Ca for the tank but what about the alk how do you keep that stable is the doser still needed to dose alk into the tank? or does the Ca reactor take care of both the Ca and alk? if so how? any intel is appreciated and thanks
Roger

You control the amount of co2 that enters the reactor which in turn controls the rate at which the calcium carbonate media dissolves. The dissolving media provides both alkalinity and calcium to your tank. The nice thing about it is once you have the proper ratio of calcium and alkalinity in your tank, you rarely need to adjust the ratio of the two. The media basically supplies calcium and alkalinity at the same ratio that they are consumed by your corals.

Here's an article that might help.
