I am considering buying a calcium reactor but I am seeing many people selling there reactors to go with dosing pumps. Which of these do you prefer as far as cost, maintenance, set-up etc? I am fairly green to the idea of using/setting up both of these so any input on your experiences and "how-to's" will be greatly appreciated.

What size tank? and what are you looking to keep?
Initial cost for doser is much cheaper but for large (200+) sps tanks a ca reactor works out to be cheaper

i was in the same boat as you, and i end up going with a cal reactor
after talking to some ppl it seems like they have better results long term with a cal reactor
previous was manually dosing 2 part b-ionic
and since switching over to the cal reactor
i have notice better color and growth on my sps

It really depends on the size of the tank and what you want to keep in the tank. The larger tanks with larger demands from SPS or large clams would be better off with a ca reactor. On a 180gal or smaller using a good dosing unit and two part is alot easier to adjust and cheaper than a reactor.
