How long does it take for the media inside a calcium reactor to start melting?
I got my reactor working for 3 month and I don't see much media on the bottom of the reactor or much of the top going away.

also what is your effluent rate? Have you tested your alk and calcium levels in your tank?

What ph level did you set on and what media are you using?

Sip, the pH monitor is controlled by the apex 6.60 high and 6.30 low.. The media came with the Calcium reactor (used system online) so I don't know the type of media that came with it. I know is coral skeleton medium size 1/2“ to 3/4".

Well depending on the media. For example revive from tlf starts to melt at 6.5. I got that from Julian sprung himself.

I think I read somewhere that your effluent should be 3x what you want your levels at. If your numbers are stable, it must be working properly.

Usually couple of drops for me has been sufficient and yes calibrating your ph probe is a must when purchased used.
