I have always used dosing pumps and two part. On my new build I'd like to use a calcium reactor because it is an sps tank.

Can you start running a calcium reactor with your first addition of coral or is it better to start with two part and then transition?

What is a good calcium reactor?

You can still run two part on an sps tank. but if you really want to switch to a reactor, ideally you would want the reactor set up and tuned before you add any coral. if this isn't possible then it's not the end of the world, just go slow in your adjustments to minimize any parameter fluctuations.

I haven't used a reactor in a while but my favorite was a geo. I might buy another once @AVAST Marine comes out with a new one.
