Sure. It'll just need to be tuned to your tank's rate of consumption. At the end of the day, Cal reactors are basically sized based on the amount of media you can keep in them (since larger tanks should eat up more media faster...ergo needing a bigger reactor), so using an oversized reactor on your tank just means you shouldn't have to replace media as often.
