I am hooking up a Calcium reactor for the first time and I need to know how much media I should put in the reactor? It's a MRC reactor.

Thanks.

dual chamber units i would fill them about 75 % (to the top of the label if it has one)full to give some room for water and remember that the second chamber difference od ph is .3

also make sure that dont break the hose that somes out of the tube (very brittle)

75% IME. That's what i did with my MRC-CR1 when I had one.

Right on Rev~

Fill it 3/4 full and replace the media when it is down to 1/3 full. I love my dual chamber reactor. All I add is 1 drop of Lugols Iodine per 25 gallons per week. Growth of everything is awsome. Just takes some tweaking at first. Don't give up! Adjust the CO2 until you get a KH reading of 6.5-6.8 on the effluent. The effluent drip should be a broken stream. Just a little more than a drip. The final settings will be determined by the animal'sconsumption of the calcium in your system.Feel free to contact me any time!! I love reactors!!

Cool guys thanks for the info!

My reactor is just a single chamber though. I am going to try and dial it in the weekend sometime. Could you PM me your number so I could pick your brain? :D

I have a CO2 tank and gages. Can I make a calcium reactor? If not Is there a good place to order one?
