Calcium Reduction to Control Coral Growth...

I have a tank that is growing wild with coral, particularly Zoas. I'm trying to figure out how to get it under control.

If I allow calcium to become depleted, will it have any other effect other than slowing growth?

LOL... nice in theory, but there isn't even a local reef club by me. Besides, they've become like a pest. They've grown all over so many rocks and I have a patch growing in the sand bed and on the return.

So I'd rather try and control the growth first, then start giving it away.
