Okay my calcium level on my 75g will not move above 340ppm. I've tried dosing 2 part Seachem Fusion and it got my dkh up to 12 and calcium to 340 so I stopped using part 2 and kept using part 1 for calcium and a week later it still hasn't moved. I only have a Duncan, 3 zoa's and a green toadstool leather all small frags. I've read about having lower levels of magnesium not letting your calcium raise.

ammonia 0
nitrites 0
nitrates 10
calcium 340
Dkh 11 after water change
ph 8.1

Also have 100 lbs of reef saver rock/cured live rock and running 90 lbs Ocean Direct live carribean sand.

I recommend not dosing any further till you can test magnesium. More then likely its your culprit but its always safe to test to make sure.

There are lot of products out there that just increase magnesium if I'm not mistaken.

The best way usually is with waterchanges because its kinda expensive to dose, but ur salt mix is obvi9usly low with mag, so get a supplement like tech m or bionic,

Reef crystals starts at much higher concentrations. Its also what I use. Reef crystals also tells you the approximate numbers for the crucial parameters we test for based on your salinity choice. This is also a good way to test if your kits are reading properly.

Was just asking because sometimes people overlook their poor or expired test kits and start making changes to their tank when the only problem was with their test kit..

And +1 on water change...

What kind of salt do you use?

I use the purple topped Instant Ocean salt mix- but almost out should I make the move to Reef crystals?
I use rscp for bi weekly and esv if i go long without doing a water change, i acually grabbed a bucket of the regular IO because the redsea contains high maganese and i dont run gfo, i made 180 gallons from the IO and the mag is around 1300, what are you using to measure sg?
