I paused my doser for a few days. Put it back on yesterday for regular schedule dripping , but pressed pump on by accident. It dripped about 350ml of concentrated calcium solution in there.
Should I do a water change ? Inhabitants look sort of different today, no wonder... Is it really detrimental or can I just wait it out. Water looks snowing right now, will it dissolve eventually

Test your calcium, next do a decently sized water change, and retest your calcium. Thats what i would do

As I understand it, the addition of calcium will drive down your ALK. Check your ALK level.

alk is constant. 9.1 dkh since last week and before then. cal is now 500+ undetectable. my mg is oddly high too, for the small amount of skeletal elements powder I had used today .. but that's another story 1600 +

thinkin about doing a water change today if its necessary, will do one anyway in a few days ( Monday)

key an eye on your alk, and let it ride, cal dump isn't as bad as an alk dump. Don't do too much too quickly. Its counterintuitive, but most ppl will end up just messing things up more by trying to fix things when not fully understanding cause and effect in this context.

I did my 20% wc and checked params again. alk took a nosedive to 7.8, and im bumping my alk dosing to compensate. cal and mg is still high, est mg 1900. cal unknown. corals look odd, some lost color, btas shrunk up, one bargain bin sps bleached, acans not fluffing to max... but ya not as bad as an alk accident.
