All I have beed using is instant ocean and my calcium is 520 per hanna test is this bad being so high . Alk is 10.5 phosphates..O8 ph 8.3 plus I am running bare bottom . With algea turf scrubber.

The idea of the salt mixing that high is that your coraline and corals will consume it. That way it is replenished with water changes.

Something is not right. Instant Ocean at 1.026 sg should be around 400 ppm Calcium and 10.5-11 dkh for Alkalinity. Have a reefer friend test for calcium using their kit, or take a water sample to your LFS.

I've also had an issue with Instant Ocean being way too high in calcium using my Hanna checker (498ppm at 1.024 specific gravity). You can try getting an ICP analysis on your water to be completely sure.

People seem to report difficulty with that specific Hanna checker. You might get a cheap API kit and see what it says, or have your fish store double check it.

That said, there is absolutely no problem if your Ca is actually 520 ppm.
