Just started using the LLS-15 with my Apex and am able to gauge the evaporation rate of 0.1 inches (per LLS reading) of water per day with my WB 60.2. The ATO is 15" x 5.5" x 7.6" (I set the ATO fill-up level to the 12" mark). Does anyone have a calculator that can convert the volume of evaporation (in mL) using these dimensions, or am I just plain math-illiterate?

I suppose I could drain the ATO, fill it up a to gallon, and start a new calculation that way, but I've seen some crazy calculators here and just wondered if anyone has any recommendations?

Each 0.1 slice of water is dimensions 0.1 in * 5.5 in * 7.6 in = 4.18 in^3 = 68.4979275 mL

0.1 in water level height = 68.4979275 mL volume

You are going to use an ATO that is only controlled by time, not by tank level?

That seems to me to be risky if you do not watch it every day. Evaporation frequently changes considerably with weather.

I have the same question as Randy, why is it time controlled and not water level controlled? If you watch it everyday you can get away with it i suppose, but you’ll be constantly adjusting it to maintain a consistent level.

Just to be sure - The LLS is installed in the Auto Top Off Resevoir or in the aquarium sump?

Is the ATO resevoir dropping .1 per day or the sump dropping .1 per day?

Oh no...I'm just saying the Neptune ATK regulates level. I've charted a 0.1" drop each day, using the fusion app logs - every 24 hours from the LLS (in ATO chamber). Seems low, but I do have that Kraken evaporation lid helping a lot.

Neptune ATK...probably should have more clear!
