Calculating sodium nitrate dosage

That difference won't matter if you are taking about 25 g or less in a liter. Other factors, such as the actual water volume will be larger "errors", and exact dosing is not at all important.
I'm doing 75g in 1000ml. 150 gallon tank and want to raise nitrate by 1 for every 15ml dosed

I would target 1000 mL final volume, but the difference is very small.

Here's a calculator.

Pick the entry for potassium nitrate, and multiply the answer by 0.84 to get the dose needed (so 0.84 grams instead of 1.0 grams). :)

Randy, I always get confused with math.

My tank is 400l

I used the calculator for potassium nitrate.
65g to 1000ml-1ml will raise NO3 by 0.1ppm

I’ve got sodium nitrate. Is this correct?
54.6g to 1000ml-1ml will raise NO3 by 0.1ppm
