All,

I'm looking for a Specific Gravity Calculator that will

(1) allow for the INPUT of

(a) the Specific Gravity of a known saltwater solution

(b) the Specific Gravity of a second known solution (including 0.000)

(c) the Specific Gravity of a new desired solution, and

(d) the volume of such a new desired solution.

(2) and, provide this OUTPUT

(a) the volume of the first solution needed to make the desired S.G. metric and volume, and

(b) the volume of the second solution needed to make the desired S.G. metric and volume when mixed with the first solution.

The volume metrics should be in either milliliters or gallons (with optional variable volume metrics).

As temperature is a variable in S.G. equations, let's assume the temperature of the first solution, the temperature of the second solution and the temperature of the desired solution are all the same.

If reality makes such a calculator impossible, I'd like to know why...

TIA...

PS: If the above isn't easy to understand, imagine the skill necessary to write this requirement under the influence of a bottle of 2015 Château Féret-Lambert Bordeaux.

What liquid do you imagine that would have a specific gravity of 0.000? Please be specific.

Bingo! The Resulting Salinity Calculator (2nd on your list) gets me where I want to go. Thank you!

Ok, if you say so! I'm still trying to understand the requriements. So you have water with 2 different SG, and a desired volume and a desired target SG. Basically how much of each solution to reach your target volume and salinty. Hmm..

Well anyway there are more calculators to play with if you haven't figured it out yet.
