Hello Ladies and Gents!

Finally completed my DIY 40B and sump and moved it into the house for cycling. I wanted this tank to be a bare bottom one to alleviate a few issues. I’m trying my hardest to make this a ULM setup, as I’m away for a straight 72hrs (firefighter life) and don’t want to have a burden on the wife and kids...

The ultimate goal is to have a vibrant colored reef tank with SPS/LPS corals, a few softies and only a few fish.

I have (2) Maxspect 330’s, along with (1) Vortech MP-10 located as low as possible in the back left to push all the detritus and assist in backglass flow

Lighting is done w/ (2) AI 16HD Primes. Set at 8” high and spaced 11.5” apart

The DIY 20L sump has a Reef Octopus (Octo) 5” 110SSS skimmer, Chaeto refugium lit by a Amazon ACKE grow light and SICCI 2.0 return pump and Tunze Nano ATO

The DIY PetCo 40B main tank is filled with Amazon Dry Rock, drilled for a 1.5” Herbie and .75” return. The internal overflow was built by me from a used CPR over-the-tank overflow.

My LFS uses Fritz RPM and that’s what I plan to use to salt. RO/DI is made by me with a BRS 5-stage. Pretty stoked to see that my local water showed 2-TDS pre DI filter.

Currently working on cleaning up the wire management. Bought a CyberPower 1350AVR for powerhead back-up
