I'm very excited although nervous about leaving my tank :) but will be going to visit with my dad in vero beach last week of March. I would love to check out some good LFS's or any other hobbyist sites - anyone have any recommendations? I've read that ORA is located near there? After the winter we just endured, I'm very excited to go south!

Hey, I'm from Port St. Lucie, about 30 min south of Vero.
Here is all the fish stores that you can go to.

Vero-1 fish store, called Treasure Coast Corals. They have a facebook page and the owner's name is Jon

(15 min south of vero)Ft. Pierce- There is an awesome store called "The Fish Store", but as of the past few days, they are going to be moving to jupiter, about an hour south.

(15-20 min south of ft pierce)-Port St. Lucie- 2 stores.
1. Shipwreck aquariums. place is pretty bad..but every once in a while they will have 1 or 2 cool frags. Owner is a not very nice.
2. aquatek aquariums. The guy's name is Tim and this is where i started out. It is a small store, but he is a really nice guy and has about average stuff.

(5-15 min south of PSL) stuart/jensen beach-1 store
1. fintastic aquariums. The guys here are really nice, but the trick is to go there on a friday or saturday. They put out newsletters every friday morning. They have a bunch of new stuff every friday and they sell it CHEAP. Like very very cheap. So you have to get there quick.

If you want to go even more south, all the way to Jupiter, its going to be like a 90min drive. There are 2 stores I think. One of them is called Riley's reef.

If you have any questions, or need any phone numbers for the places feel free to PM me. I'm well known with Jon at treasure coast corals, tim over at aquatek, and if hes still there, chris at "the fish store".

I live in Gainesville now, about 3 hours north of Port St. Lucie.

yes, thank you so much! I did just email ORA and it shows they are in Ft. Pierce. I just inquired on whether they are open to the public for a tour or something. It sure would be cool to tour that facility!
