Calling all plumbers

Hey All

Im setting up a new tank which has a Shadow Overflow and will be plumbed to a Trigger 39. What I plan on doing is running 8 inch pieces from the overflow to union cepex vales and then go from 1.5 inch pvc pipe to 1. After that I plan on using flexible pvc. Can I use regular pvc glue to attached the flexible pvc to a standard pvc fitting?
