Hey Radion fans!

Today we're discussing the EcoTech Radion Diffuser upgrades. If you're thinking of one for your LED, this video will walk you through their features, how to install them and several other helpful tips!

If you have them installed already, PLEASE share your thoughts and maybe a pic or two! ;)

I have definitely seen improvement in color on certain corals that were in hot spots and were bleaching. I have had success with radions mounted more than 18 inches from the water but my canopy makes this impossible. They become laser like when mounted closer to the water. I am not excited that I had to pay $260.00 to repair a design flaw. I have gen 3 pros

Forgive the quality, these pics were taken late at night. I couldn’t wait to install the defusers. These tanks are on two sides of one wall. Pic one is with the defusers and pic two is without. Honestly, the defusers make a huge difference. Like most things ecotech I’m not excited about the price but I’m in love with the quality. I like the defusers so much and the light disbursed so well I got rid of my t5’s. One added bonus is the ability to take pictures of my tank and fish without a filter on my phone. The last picture was taken with an iPhone 7 and no filter.

Reef father figure Randy, I used the lighting schedule from Casper’s tank at WWC. But their lights are really high off the water, I think they’re doing low par long hours? My peak light is only for 5 hours then it’s all blues. What do you think? I’m hitting the 400’s on some of my higher rock.

First thing i do on any led unit i purchase is to instal a piece of diffusion filter sheet....the blended light is surely much better for the tanks inhabitants both photosynthetically and im sure psychologically for the fish and critters and is more aesthetically pleasing...to my eye at least

I added the filters about a month ago. I think they do a lot to balance the lighting. One fits perfectly but the other has taken on a small warp and doesn’t fit as well. It’s not enough for me to take issue with it though.

I have been using the diffuser since day one on this tank. Tank inhabitants are doing great! Running AB+ on a WWC like schedule so blues are on in evening when I’m home. Looks good during the day but it is screaming when the blues come on.
