anyone here only run 3 blue plus in their 8 bulbs fixture and without actinic? Im trying to stray away from the blue look and go for crisp white look. Planning to switch out when bulb change come around and doing
3 blue plus
3 coral plus
2 purple plus

I Really prefer more white than blue as well, but you want enough blue to bring out your colors. I’m currently using one each of aquablue special, blue plus, and actinic on my anemone tank and it’s a shade bluer than I’d like. If I had 8 bulbs I’d probably go with 4 Aquablue Special, 2 Blue Plus, and 2 Actinic or 1 Actinic and 1 Purple Plus.

I think the Aquablue Special is underutilized by folks like us that have a thing for whiter tanks.

i'd only do 1 purple plus. two will really give you a red tinge.

im running. 3 blue plus. 3 coral plus and 2 actinic.

Are you guys going for the look or the health of the corals.
Remember can't have it both 100%

Id probably go with 4B+, 2C+ P+, Actinic ...using B+ & Actinic for dawn/dusk. 2 Purple tubes will make the tank to pink/red for me.

I ran 2 purple before and it looks nice. I dont like running actinic since i have reefbrite blue to compensate
