So have a frogspawn that seems to be on a roller coaster when it comes to his health. About two weeks ago it was open and happy and now it's looking like this. Levels are all in line and my hammer seems to be doing fine. Anyone know if this one's a gonner, or what's going on?

I hate to say this, but the frogspawn is a goner. that’s the case with a lot of Euphylia.

Lots of reefers here have the same issue, including me. Have a thriving tank and next thing you know these act up.

What about flow, any pests you are seething under the flesh? Can you dip the other frag.

@DSC reef @Reefer Deez any inputs

I'm very sorry to hear about the frogspawn but I agree it a goner :(
I have had alot of issues with my euphyllia
I've lost alot of torches
A few frogspawn and a few hammers
Besides the coral not opening did you notice any tissue loss around the base of the coral where the tissue meets the skeleton?
I have lost alot of money in coral and have spe t alot of money on equipment to try and rid myself of the problem but I have not been successful
Remember your jot alone in this we all go through it and someone one day will have an answer to rid ourselves of losing coral for unknown reasons.
You said you parameters were all in check, do you mind posting your readings?
Also check all equipment that has a magnet for rust.
What's you water change schedule? Do you make your own water?

Don't notice any pests, and always dip my frags before I put them in

How long have you had the coral? It might of had some bacteria on it that finally cause it to die. I've herd alot of people in my case jump to brown jelly disease but none of my euphyllia do any sighs of bjd when they die but im almost out of ideas so I'm thinking in my case it might be bacteria. So if you notice your other euphyllia start to show signs of stress you can try an iodine based dip. Some say it helps and say say it didn't help them at all but it's worth a shot.

I would move it to a lower light and lower flow to see if it recovers before giving up. A lot of people over estimate how much light these need. Also, just barely injuring one of the heads can cause it to slowly die, it doesn't take much. Watched my Gold Aussie Torch with 5 heads slowly die, one head at a time, couldn't stop it. I accidentally hit one of the heads while cleaning my tank, took about a month to die completely.
