I have a 72x18x23 and can’t reach the bottom without wet armpits …that said though, the depth in the 2’ range looks fine to me on a longer tank.

96x30x27 AGE. PVC bottom, armored seams, stainless steel frame around the tank 3/4 starfire.

Mine is 96x36x24. It’s sort of odd for viewing while standing because I had to go with a shorter stand. A 36” tall by 36” wide stand wouldn’t fit through my doors so the stand is only 30” tall smh. However it does make maintenance very convenient!

I also have a 240 that is 96x24x24 and it does not look like a frag tank. Would I like an extra few inches of height for viewing? Sure, but I also not like having to use a snorkel when I have to reach the sandbed...

Although I don’t have my 400 anymore, you can check out my build thread. Personally I’ll take the occasional wet shirt sleeve and go with 30” tall. I’ve was also 36” front to back.
