Do you use a reef calculator to figure out how much to add?

It looks to me like you aren't adding nearly enough. I used the calculator I work with and to raise 90g from 390 to 420 took a lot more than 40ml.

This is the one I use:

I was at 410 8pm yesterday i put 40ml and this morning 390 and i dont see rise on the apex i dont wanna drop 100ml one shot to rise to fast.

Raising the Ca in the tank is not a serious issue like raising alk is.

How sure are you about the reading of your tests? It's extremely unlikely that your Ca would fall from 410 to 390 over night! You would need a tank that is overgrown with lps and sps coral for that to happen. I'd suggest you start doing your tests twice to confirm your results. If you get the same results each retry for 4 or 5 tests, then you'll know you are doing the tests the same each time. It's very important to clean your test equipment and do tests EXACTLY the same every time.

BTW, I had a 40g tank full of coral and 5 fish. Also had a 30g sump. I would raise Ca from 380 to 420 in 2 or 3 manual doses over just 10 minutes and would see NO reaction from anybody in the tank.

My TRIDENT apex is testing cal mag 6x dali and just got calibrate, i have done a salifer cal test and is at 400 so almost the same i trust way more my TRIDENT coze this is a non humain test, This is not about the fail testing. Not because you got no reaction from coral or fish that the Chemical in the tank dont freak out, that why i up slow, but why is not rise event whit dosing, i will water change and try to find whats is the coze, whit 40ml cal this cal was suppose to up at 410/415 but drop at 390 look more for me like a precipitation of cal and still dont figure why.

Calcium can be added quickly without affecting the corals, not sure about Mg since I don't usually have to touch it but Alkalinity is a whole nother story...slow add or oops.

Are you dosing equal amount of both part 1 and 2? once you dose equally they should balance and from there you can raise calcium or alk. But always dose equal amount. I dont really care about calcium level when i dose 2part as long as my alk is in place. calcium will always be balanced with alk level.
