Caluerpa prolífica clear tips

Hi guys
Over the last few weeks my caluerpa stopped growing , nutrients are available and I dose iodine, manganese and a few others
A week ago my bulb got wet and popped it was a 21w led 6500k 3” above the algae and foli over the top

Now it has 23w same bulb but the few days I’m getting 1” of the tops turning clear

Ramped up the lights from 12-16 hours but seemed worse so dropped it to 8 for now but anyone other ideas is welcome

When I grew calerpa it thrives when my nutrients weren’t controlled and I switched to frozen food. Maybe increasing your intrient load would help. It also took off when I dosed iron. My light was also on 12hr schedule and was just a regular LED flood light from Lowe’s… Hope this helps…

Hmmm iron keeps popping up for me but this stuffs 4 months old and never dosed iron but on your point about nutrients mine are super stable at .06 and 11 so maybe with higher it would grow but that’s counterintuitive no

Sorted this by reducing photoperiod and intensity of light
