From my understanding this is cyano. How do I get rid of it? Preferably without chemicals. Just want to confirm this is cyano also

Cyano is a good guess. Chemi Clean sure sounds like a chemical but it works and is reef safe except for blue plating sponges. Good luck. :)

Definitely looks like cyano to me. Chemiclean will knock it out - but going the natural way, I think the name of the game is to syphon up as much as you can and reduce nitrates with water changes.

You should be able to syphon it up pretty easily and then just repeat daily or every other day. Those small water changes will help bring nitrates down. Just don't go too fast and knock things down to zero...that's how other problems come up.

Increase flow, reduce feeding if necessary, monitor nutrients. Water changes. Works for me everytime, never needed chemicals
