I was just wondering what everyone is using to get these great pics? I've tried 3 different cameras and still no luck with close ups. I tried cheap $100 and nicer $400 cameras. Any hints would be appreciated

IMO the best pictures you get will be from a dslr, not a point and shoot digital camera. That way you can have a lot more control. It is much more expensive though.

I like my Cannon T3i. I have two lenses and my friend is going to let me borrow his macro soon so I'll see how that one does. A tripod helps a million though.

I use a Nikon D5100 and it is an awesome camera. Mine came in a package with two lenses.

Try a go pro bro
I just ordered one and have the inside tip that quite a few of the great picture takers and online vendors use the go pro hero delux

Just ordered the Nikon d5100 with a tripod and two lenses and lots of other goodies for $700. So excited! I've seen lots of amazing photos taken with them.
