Thanks! I'll be sure to post the pics. I'm afraid this moorish idol is gonna be a bit more than I can chew but all the things they go for are already in the tank. Hopefully I can manage. Who knows the moorish idol well here?

All I know is that they need to be eating as soon as possible. @4FordFamily has experience with them among others. Maybe he has a few tips for you.

With these guys, nori is CRITICAL. Red nori in bulk on Amazon works well I believe it's ocean nutrition and then I buy cheap green nori from the grocery store. I feed both daily. Mix frozen foods and soak in garlic guard and selcon.

Idols are very difficult to get started and need to gain weight fast. Once they start to show their spine (thin enough that you see it) they're usually done for and will just starve and die.

Live blackworms can work well to stimulate eating, so too can live brine. Mine eats anything and everything. I've heard that some idols will take to spectrum pellets as well. Rods food is a good choice as well as CA or PE mysis.

Thanks for the info. Greatly appreciated!

Where in the world are you gonna put all those fish for QT?
Well, let me rephrase that. The moorish idol, is the only one going into qt. The rest, I'll have to keep an eye on. I wasn't really thinking about that until you brought it up........now I may have a problem. Where were you two days ago man??

Haha, yeah. I've never had a problem from any fish from blue zoo, ever. It's only creatures and koi that gives me SERIOUS problems. But if push comes to shove my brother in law has a 225 that he keeps as a quarantine (he's how I got into this hobby) and he always offers to give a hand if needed.

I would do it man. It would suck to tear that tank apart to catch those fish.

Brother in law is out of town so I couldn't qt, all the fish are in the tank. All look really healthy and are eating and picking at the live rock. Drip acclimated all of them for about thirty minutes. Here's the idol, had him eating in about thirty minutes, now he won't stop. Thanks @4FordFamily
