Fish disease gods, I am in desperate need of your counsel! I got this hippo tang about 2 months ago. She came from DD looking great and I followed my normal DD QT procedure, which is simply observe for 2 weeks and treat anything as needed due to DD’s prior prophylactic regimen (been doing this for 10 years with no issues). Everything else in the tank that isn’t from DD underwent Humblefish’s protocol of copper power at 2.0ppm and general cure followed by prazi.

So after her 14 day stint in QT she looked perfect and went into the DT. Not a day later she showed signs of black ich. Treated the whole DT with prazi and black ich was beaten.

A day or two after the last prazi water change I noticed she had some white spots. Ich?!? It’s been years since I’ve seen it in any tank of mine, but I don’t play around and proceeded to remove all fish from the DT. Got everyone in QT, raised copper with copper power to 2.0ppm over 5 days. I measure with the hanna checker. It’s day 9 of copper at 2.0 and she looks like this! It’s getting worse slowly every day. Bumps that look like a parasite under the skin, ich sized spots, big Lymphocystis looking growths, flashing, and some rubbing. Only other fish effected with similar symptoms are the yellow tangs. Both have the under skin bumps and some white spots that vary in size but not nearly as bad as the hippo. They haven’t been flashing or rubbing at all.

All fish have been eating well and no one has lost any weight in QT. I did notice some fin damage on all 4 of my anthias, but not sure if it’s them picking on each other in the smaller quarters or disease related because chromis, trigger, goby, filefish and cardinals are all looking great. I’m simply stumped...HELP!

+1 ^^^ on lympho. Sometimes it presents under the skin, behind the eyes (creating popeye), and it is contagious.
Consider treating the fish's food with Beta Glucan. It really helps the fish's immune system to suppress lympho.
Mix with food. Food + Beta Glucan + Focus (binder) + RO water to desired consistency. Here's more info on BG:

I’ve seen accounts of lympho affecting other areas of the body like that, but never thought it could get this bad. It would sure be a relief if this wasn’t ich after all!

Theoretically, if this is JUST lympho I should probably get everyone out of copper and back in the display to mitigate stress and let their immune systems do their thing, right?

My fear is that this is a mixed bag of problems and ich is present as well... I’m terrified of putting everyone back in only to have to rip apart the rock again to catch them all!
