Can’t Figure out why . Pls help

Hello guys so I’ve had the tank up and running since August . Have had my ups and down but has since stabilized. But recently I added a HOB REFUGIUM to the tank and started to see algae or slime of sorts. Can you help me figure out why and some type of treatment.

Reason I added a refugium was because I had gotten my P04 up to almost 2.0 but even with high number didn’t see much algae like this

Looks like diatoms… to be completely honest I don’t think anyone has clean white egg crate in their tanks! I’m pretty sure that plastic leaches stuff and the bright white attracts the light and algae. It’s not harmful it’s been used for years but algae is always the case.
