Can’t fit sand

I have 90 gallon reef tank I’m setting up. I put rock in now for sand I have 80 pounds I put 40 pounds in and have a 3 inch bed how can I get all the sand in or is what I have in enough

3" is probably thick enough.

By the time you run pumps you'll have some spots 1-3"..and some 4-5". Plenty of sand for most things that need sand like wrasses
