Can’t get 1 bulkhead to stop leaking

Have you tried wrapping the thread with teflon aleady? Hope you get it fixed soon! Leaks are the worst!

It sounds like the much bigger one you got at home depot was shedule 80...I don't reccomend using a schedule 80 ring on a schedule 40 bulkhead. Either use schedule 40 blukhead or schedule 80 bulkhead but not the ring of schedule 80 in a schuedule 40 sandwhich.

It seems to me that the only way this leak can continue is if there is a chip on the water side of the hole that is preventing a complete seal. If the surface is uniform and flat, one of the bulkheads you tried should seal. I'd clean and dry the area well and put silicone on the gasket side where it contacts the glass as others have suggested. This should seal your leak.

silcone is a bandaid not a fix. If a bulkhead needs silicone it needs replacing.
Clean around the hole with rubbing alc let it dry and put in the correct size bulkhead for the hole. Hand tighen and then 1 turn 1/4 to 1/2 turn more. That is all a bulkhead should need to not leak.
