Here the deal i have a 56g tank and a 10g tank. Well im thinking bout taking down the 10g but the questions is will the baby maroon pair survive in the 56g along with the perc pair?

Most people will tell you no, but it can be done. Clowns have a relatively small territory that they defend. One way to do it would be to set up a divider between the two pairs at first until they can get established. Good luck.

You will just have to try but you had better keep a eye on them.

Depends what kind. I heard from a breeder friend of clowns that they are even thinking of combining the species. So it is a fish personality and acclimation issue. Not the species.
Good luck

These fish exist... the breeding pair is available here for $600

Short term I would say probably. Once those maroons grow, I would say the chances are very low though.

I, personally, wouldn't do it. Once the maroon pair starts to spawn, all bets are off -- one of the most aggressive spawning pairs that I have seen.

As for territory, about a decade ago I had a spawning pair of Clarkii -- they took over my whole 75, even with their nest in the one corner.

I would say no unless your thinking a 6ft. + tank then you may have a chance.....as far as acclimation/“personality" trumping instict I'd say that's false but that is just my opinion

If the perc pair is breeding I would not try it unless you are sure you can separate them.
While they stay relatively small in my experience the females are very territorial.

if laying eggs it is highly likely any new clown will not be tolerated.

I took in a 2" maroon clown from someone who was breaking down their tank and put it in a lg reef tank with two full grown 5" blk saddlebacks and a 1" ocellaris. The saddlebacks leave the ocellaris alone but they are always picking at the maroon. It has had its tail fin bitten in half, twice now.

Hmm I've had the perc as a pair for over two years never lay eggs n as for the maroon they are less than one inch but can tell which one is a female
