Can 93 cube marineland be drilled?

I'm wondering if the bottom of 93 cube made by marineland be drilled? I've read some answers posted on marineland's website and they said all panels are not tempered (see picture). Did anyone attempt to drill another hole before and successfully?

It's currently has two 1" holes drilled...one for drain and one for return so I would like to drill another 1" for the drain. Thanks for the help.

I would not do it because there seems to be quite a few Marineland tanks that I have noticed on the forums that cracked. The cracks seem to be associated with through the glass power heads but this was a casual observation I made.

Well I took the guts and got it drilled. Piece of cake for a new drill bit.

This should help anyone who wants to add extra drain or return to their marineland's cube tank.

Haha! I was keeping an eye on the selling threads like you mentioned. Came here to read up on some hardware stuff , mainly led , might go for a hydra like you were but kinda torn between hydra and vega for the upgradable pucks.

so glad I found this post! I got a 93 cube from a buddy and I wanted to drill the bottom to add a drain. I wanted to drill one in the corner as an emergency drain, any particular reason you went with the hole next to the other two? I have a 93 rimless and it looks like your tank has a frame. Hope I don’t mess it up ‍
