I bought a bta on impulse. It resembled a "day glow" strain of bta I've seen posted online previously. However I think it was just bleached.

I had to move the bta to a small tank while I treat my display. In this tank it looks like the anemone has bleached further. It looks even more translucent. I have another rbta in the same tank under same Chinese led fixture and it's doing very well.

Any suggestions on what I can do to save it?

Pic of what it looked like when I purchased it.

I would just leave alone a lot of messing around with it will stress it out further. Keep up with your water quality and don't try to overfeed it eating expends a lot of energy for anemone. When you do feed it just feed very small portions and do it sparingly until you see it start to recover.

The foot looks healthy. It's mounted solid to the rocks and still moves around once in a while. Under leds, it's a fluorescent green color. Not sure if that answers your question, I'm a anemone noob.

Give it a place away from the lights like a lower part of the tank with little to no flow.. it will stay put and over time the color will come back.

I had a nem who walked the glass to the top of my tank and blacked itself for a month. I placed it on the tanks bottom and within a week I saw a big difference in color.

You are going to need to acclimate it to your lights. I prefer to use 3 layers of window screening (( can be supported by egg crate )), with removing a layer every 5-7 days.

An older picture with some temporary lights, but gives an idea of what I am taking about,

While it was an M. doreensis and not an E. quadricolor the idea is the same -- given the proper water conditions, and acclimating them to the lights you can go from;

Your bta looks healthy except for being bleached if it still looks like the day you picked it up. Lower light will help. Birng the color back before moving to where you want it.

Thanks for the responses. Here are some pics I took today with my phone.

Yes, I would definetely acclimate him to your lighting.

Kinda like being real sun-burned and having to go out again without sun block.

He needs time to build tolerance to the light.

always acclimate it to the lighting, and then feed it every few days SMALL portions as its in distress.
i had one looking similar i would make a blend of fresh shrimp and aquavitro fuel and spot feed it with a small syringe. it will take time but with tlc and good water quality / lighting it can bounce back

best of luck
