Can a fish cause this on my pink floyd

hey guys I was looking through my corals today and noticed what seems to be a small amount of damage on my pink floyd. I know I know it is one ugly coral rn lol but it is still acclimating so gimme a break lol. I was just wondering if one of my clumsy fish could have caused this damage or should I be more worried. The rest of the coral looks fine which is why I am thinking it is a fish who probably grazed it.top left branch of the first pic. and left branch of the last pic. I use a reefbot to monitor my levels my alk has dropped a little but I am hoping the added mls to daily dosing has helped and will find out the results in a few hours.

Hey yeah I bought it from unique corals live sale:
Wellafter the night has passed it lost a little bit of skin on that top I was describing. I ended up clipping the dead part off and lowering the light intensity as all my parameters are in chack with 5 nitrate, 7.8DKH and 420 calc. DO yall think the damage could be done from the lightin.

If the tissue isnt receding further I'd leave it alone and keep my hands out of the tank.

Never hurts to get your water fully tested.

The only thing I havent checked in the last month is nitrite. ammonia, phosphate was checked(could also be issue as it was super high and I dropped it...maybe too fast?) The frag was extreamly brown when I recieved it...looked nothing like the picture tbh the coral is starting to gain some color back finally.

Well I decided to look at the small piece of the coral I clipped off that looked completely dead...It was not nearly as far gone as I thought so I just ended up placing it on a plug and putting it back in. If I see polyps I will be amazed as it was in my trash for at least an hour. But maybe the slime coat of acropora may have saved it. I did put it in my sump so I can monitor it a little bit more closely today.

If it’s not dead, just leave things alone. You already said it looks better than when you first received it. It does take some time to adjust to your tank. Leave it be.

Hey guys got back from my trip and the coral has gotten a tad bit worse but my alk is stabalizing once again so I am hoping that will help the coral bounce back. From what I could see it was either alk burn or it did not like the rapid change in phosphate from like .4ish to .15 ish so with that in mind I have let my bot do the testing and have really just left the tank alone all I have really done was frag lol
