can a fish jump out the gap

I have just made a jump guard for my tank, I have 2 red mangroves so there are some small gaps of less than an inch. will something like a wrasse be able to jump out of these gaps or is it not that likely for it to happen?

If the fish’s head fits, the fish fits. Depends on the size of the wrasse

Yup, a wrasse can jump through that. I gambled with something similar and lost.

Yep! Unfortunately I just lost a zebra barred dartfish through a 1/4in gap. I just ordered a cover that sits flush against the glass. I have had them for months and one day he was dead on the floor.
