Can a RO booster pump be mounted in any orientation?

I'm redoing my RODI setup and up until now I've had the booster pump mounted horizontal but now I want to mount it on the wall vertically. I believe that's ok, but does anyone know if it matters if the working end faces up or down? Looks like facing downward will work best for my setup but I don't want to wreck the pump. I asked the manufacturer and got referred to a FAQ ( that I already read) that did not address my question at all.
