Hi, I got a yasha goby today and was wondering if I should leave on my sponge on my mp10? The sponge gets dirty from food and detrius easily so I was wondering if yasha gobies are strong swimmers, thanks.

It will likely stay close to the sand bed. I doubt it would get sucked into the MP10 unless it was sick and weak.

If you want to be cautious you could use the sponge for a few days and remove it if the fish stays on the sand.

Yasha gobies usually stay near the sand. I’d say you are fine to remove the sponge
