I'm dealing w/ multiple issues with my tank right now and I'd like to find out if anyone has had snails die in a tank that's been overrun with aiptasia.

I've had 3 astrea snails and a large turbo snail die in the past several months while my money cowries are still kicking (at least 2 of 3 still alive, can't ind the 3rd). I'm assuming money cowries may be more resistant to aiptasia, but that's a guess; maybe they can feel the aiptasia sting with their extended mantle before they attempt to eat it or get near it.

Anyway, if it's not the aiptasia then it's probably the rusting refugium light fixture which I've taken out and am replacing currently.

No. My snails eat algae right next to the large aiptasia anemones in my tank and do not die from it.

Rust is lethal.

burgia nudabroncs they seek and destroy aptaisia. Salty underground has good deals on them.

Any hard metals in the tank are dangerous especially for inverts, aptasia probably isn’t good for the snails but I would go with the rust for sure.
