Discosoma mushroom and green star polyps. They are generally regarded as beginner corals with fast growth rates, but growth rate of anything in your tank is based on many factors such as nutrition, lighting, flow, maturity, stability etc.

Thank so much for the help on the mushrooms but I wasn’t referring to the star polyp. I was referring to the pink and green coral.

Both mushrooms are just discosoma shrooms, just different colors. The purple and green is green star polyps, they grow off that purple mat. Usually quick growers, try to isolate where you put it on your rockwork.

I thought the other one on the far right was a green star polyp. The one that circled has pink polyps with a green center and a green stem. How’s are they the same coral but have different looks? I’m just asking because I thought they were two different corals.

Purple star polyps :) Always get told pipe organ but they are not. They create a mat just like GSP but do not grow anywhere near as fast.
