Can anybody identify this on my Acan ?

Anybody know what this thing could be ? It just showed up on the stem of my Lord Howensis Acan. It looks to have a plated shell. It was bright red when it first showed up and now has gotten darker. Doesn’t seem to effecting the coral (it’s a little closed because this is right after a water change).

Looks like a chiton that got cut in half when the coral was fragged.

If it was s chiton it would probably have let go when it was getting cut not stay there with half its body and im pretty sure it shouldnt be alive unlesd its glued on?
