Can anybody identify this?

This has just started popping up all over my tank. Thought it was diatom covered hair algae, but now After getting a closer look. I don’t think it is. I am supposed to be in the transition phase between diatoms & green hair algae for my tank. The are brownish green with a tiny ball like structure on the end with a little hair like structure coming out of it.

Thanks. That’s what I thought it looked like. Wonder what this means for my tank.

+1 - droids
Some Blennies eat them but most effective method is a dab of epoxy or gel super glue over the top of them

My tank is relatively new. Will the bloom go away on its own. I have a kole tang & a blue spotted puffer. Will either of these fish help take care of the problem?

Can't make out the picture, but whether it's the above mentioned or Cyano, I doubt your fish will eat it.
It's another phase you'll need to wait out.

Can you post a clearer picture?

I did ask to see a clearer pic. Can't give you much input as your first pic is too blurry.

Thanks for your input. Hope it is a hydroid phase I can wait out. Only seeded my new tank with my current one. Don’t remember having this issue with my other one.

Sorry, missed the last part of the text where you asked for a pic. I will try & get a better pic when my tank lights turn on in the morning. Hard to get a good one because they are so tiny.
