Hello all. New member here, though I’ve scanned the posts quite a bit.
I have recently noticed an oddity in my tank, and I can’t seem to figure out what it is. It looks like a piece of white lint stuck on a rock, with a long white hair coming off of it. If you touch the hair, it retracts. This makes me think it’s a critter and not an algae. I’ve used my Coral feeding baster to scrape/suck them off the rocks, and they come away pretty easy. Two got stuck in the tube and I’ve attached the best pic I could. Plus, there’s a couple pics of one on my zoo frag. Sorry the quality isn’t better.
They don’t seem to be harming anything, as of yet. But there are quite a few of them.
