Can anyone help identify if the attached photo is something to be concerned about. First noticed these yesterday along the vertical corner seams of my Red Sea Max Nano tank. They are whitish colour, 3-4mm in diameter disc shaped & have a small hole/eye

in the centre. They come away whole with my coral pick. Yesterday I removed the half a dozen when I first noticed them but there are another 6 or so this morning. I’m concerned as for the last 4 days my royal gramma has not been moving much or interested in food & this morning my scarlet scooter blenny is definitely struggling just lying fairly motionless on the sand bed. Tank has been running for 7 months & I’ve been battling cyano & dino’s for the last few weeks. I have now purchased a uv steriliser but it’s not installed yet. Photo is one disc I have removed & placed against coloured background to get a better image. Would appreciate any help. Thanks

Any snails in the tank that have died?

Looks to be an oppurculum from a snail(the trap door that closes their shell).

Could also be limpet snails.

Hard to get any detail from the picture.

I’m not aware of any snails having died… only have 3x bumble bee, 2x cerith & one unknown which hitch hiked it’s way in several months ago along with a coral purchase. All my corals are dipped with Red Sea DipX. The unknown has been occupying that corner seam for the last few weeks. Will attach photo of unidentified snail

Unidentified snail is a dove snail (Columbellidae) which are algae grazers and prolific breeders. Great CUC because their size allows them to reach areas larger snails cannot.

This sounds like a limpet to me. A type of snail with a flat and conical shell with a hole in the middle

It's a snail. Not necessarily bad or good, but probably not bad. Kind of like chitons. They graze for the most part. There are a bunch of species.

Thanks. There’s so much to learn!

To me, and this is my unprofessional opinion, this looks like an Apple AirTag tracker! Who'd you tick off!
