Anyone know what the little stars are?

I'm still cycling my tank nothing but a hitch hiker crab and some unknown tube things nothing else is in the tank. Is this a sign my cycle is close to finished? I'm about 3 weeks into the cycle?

Pics of the tube things and crab

Nightmare asterina that feed on algae but also go after zoas. I had two large ones that ate near a whole colony of my bamBam zoa and they multiply like mice

Best shot I can get of the front of the crab if you zoom in you can see one claw

I'm curious on where you got the rock.

Not sure if you want the polyps to live. There might be a chance
From the guy I bought the setup from said it came with the tank. He held it in another tank while I setup this tank

The zoas can make a comeback with the right lights.

You can ask the guy if he had emerald crabs before, unless you can see it and compare to online pics.

Could be gorilla crab if not.

I cant promise that will bring the zoas back. I never had that light. But, the fact they haven't fully melted. There's a chance. With a new system, even more difficult to say.

Zoas can be pretty tough. There's only so much they can go through.

Get the lights going 8 to 12 hours a day. Wait it out and see if the get better. If not, not much else you can do with a cycling system.
