I'm having a dino outbreak and looking for someone that can help me get out of this. All I kept finding in forums is to do a 3 day black out and dose peroxide. Has anyone done this and it work or what would be the best method to get rid of it.

UV light will help a lot
People are going to ask what your water parameters are.

I thought this was a very good thread

I’m amidst an outbreak too and have been dealing with them for 6 months. I am starting to dose silica along with nitrates and phosphates I have a UV sterilizer In the DT and i am 5 days into a 6 day blackout I am also adding H2O2 daily to fight these buggers.

Thanks friends. I have a evo do they make uv for nano tanks

h2o2 won't remove it. the only thing remove dino is Dino x for 40 days treatment. also you need to control nutrients.

Here’s what worked for me after battling this stuff for the better part of last year:

No water changes. I bought a UV sterilizer and connected it to the tank. I did a 5 day blackout. During the blackout I would blow off the sand, back wall and rocks to suspend the dinos in the water column, making it easier for them to go through the UV sterilizer. I also dosed 1mL of h2o2 during the blackout and for 3 weeks afterwards. After the blackout, I did a large water change (30%) and I only ran blue lights for the next 2 weeks. I also brought my nitrates and phosphate levels up to detectable levels since I had a lack of nutrients in my tank which caused the dinos to continue to thrive. I haven’t seen dinos in my tank in almost 3 months. Now i just have gha that my snails and crabs eat up.
