Can anyone help me ID this frag

I picked up this frag about a month ago. They told me it was branching gsp but I expected to see some growth by now and it hasn’t grown at all. Also all of the GSP frags I’ve seen since then have much longer polyps. Anybody know what this is and if it is GSP why it hasn’t grown?

Thanks! I looked up some pics and I’m sure you’re right. I’m a little bummed they gave it to me as GSP but oh well. I might have to try to take it back, I don’t want anything harming my other corals

Its similar to a torch except shorter sweeper tentacles. So of by itself wont kill corals outside its zone, does not grow that quickly, best way to limit is put it on its own rock about the size of a fist. Want to frag it, place a smaller rock next to it and let it grow onto there.
They are more difficult to grow than gsp, do not deal well with alkalinity swings.

Galaxea has acrospheres on the tips of the tentacles, which Im not seeing.

gsp is soft coral galaxia is lps. Looks like gsp to me

I’ve had it for about a month and it’s never extended more than this, do you think it maybe doesn’t have enough light? It’s near the bottom of my tank

Yeah the tank is pretty new but I have a torch and a hammer as well

I bought a piece of live rock and has a very small patch of polyps that look like this. I assumed it was gsp but now I don't know. It doesn't appear to have grown at all since I discovered it about a month ago. I have GSP and these polyps are about 10% of the size. Are there any tell-tale signs like # of fingers on the polyp or color of the base/mat. Should you be able to see the stony base of galaxea?

Yeah i thought mine was GSP too but it hasn’t grown at all so I’m not sure how, plus they polyps are super small compared to the other GSP I’ve seen

I've tried gsp 3 times. 1st - added too early I think and wasn't patient. 2nd- definitely not patient. 3rd - growing like a weed. Now that I know what an acrosphere is, we prob both have gsp (tbh, I was hoping mine was galaxea after reading your thread)
