I bought this wrasse yesterday and the LFS said “I don’t know, I think it’s a carpenters”. It’s about 2-2.5” long so I’m wondering if there’s any possibility it is a female (which would be great!!) or maybe just a less colorful male? He/she doesn’t have any long dorsal fins. Thoughts?

Unfortunately on my end I cannot see video. :( Have any pictures?

looks like a McCosker's flasher wrasse but he is moving pretty fast in your video. Any close up shots?

Looks like a male McCoskers.

Whatever flasher it is...definitely not female.
